Steina and Woody are an artistic couple (she, an Icelandic violinist, he a bohemian filmmaker) who at the end of the 1960s, after emigrating to the United States, worked intensively on linguistic and technical experimentation in the video arena, even patenting machines. They are considered pioneers of US video art.

The retrospective focused on their work: from Sexmachine (1970) to Voice Windows (1986).
