William Laboury, France, 2015, 21'

The Jury of the Under 35 Prize for young authors, composed by Romano Fattorossi and Sandra Lischi, directors of the Festival, and Elena Marcheschi, artistic consultant, has decided to award the prize to "Hotaru" by William Laboury.

The work creates a dialogue through fantastic narration, visual invention, sound and graphic creation in a touching and meaningful composition, suspended between cinematographic quotes and references to the digital universe. It is also a diploma essay of an author who deserves to be encouraged after this debut work.

The prize is given thanks to the contribution of IED Visual Arts Milan. Special thanks to the director Rossella Bertolazzi.

In addition Invideo gives a special mention to “Monica's portrait” and “Ulysses' portrait” by Jõao Cristovão Leitão for their subtle and refined composition made of literary, philosophical, sound and visuals echoes.
