IED Study Grant

Marco Gavioli, 25 years old, born in Augusta - Sicily, is the winner of the first contest launched by IED and INVIDEO with the aim of promoting young talents and video art spirited who want to start a formative and qualifying path in this sector.

Keen on photograph, cinema and animation, Marco Gavioli presented a video titled Skull, of which he curated subject, set design, photography and editing.
The story, narrated by exclusively using musical notes, tells of a skeleton awakening from a deadly sleep and of its loneliness, not silent, interrupted thanks to a melody that makes its lost emotions come back to life.
The video will be screened during INVIDEO next edition, Sunday 3rd November 2013.

The contest, launched in occasion of INVIDEO last edition by Istituto Europeo di Design - Milan in collaboration with A.I.A.C.E. – Milan, calls for the assignment of a study grant covering the complete cost of tuition for its three-year course in Video Design – IED Milano, starting from October 2013 (click here to download the entry form).

The winner has been selected between videos of 5 minutes length maximum, in the following categories: video art, experimental documentaries and animation, video research, dance video, theatre video, music video, abstract videos, portrait videos (no fiction).
